Koester Dairy in Illinois: Solid Selection Leads to Numerous Awards and Two Homebred Genomically Elite Families

Truly remarkable. This description applies to the splendid dairy and breeding enterprise of Koester Dairy in the northern part of the American state of Illinois. And then we are not talking about the splendid production average of 35,000 lb/15,900 kg for 420 milking and dry cows. We are also not taking into account the fact that the herd has won the Progressive Genetics Award for 33 years in a row. Or the fact that the herd has already been named by Holstein USA as a “Herd of Excellence” eight times. Read all about the remarkable results of the modest, but hard-working, Koester family.
