Holstein Austria and the rise to one of the most esteemed populations in Europe
Admittedly, the 48,000 herdbook cows makeup one of the small populations in Europe. Just as small, but with considerable international orientation, is the breeding program. As such, it is time to take a look at Austria’s Holsteins for our herdbook series. And naturally with the nimble breeding associations, particularly the umbrella organization Holstein Austria.
