It is the terror of many dairy farmers: barn fire. The tremendous damage and the loss of valuable, appreciated animals makes it a true drama. In the Canadian province of Quebec, it happened to the Perreault family; not once, but twice! In a short span: on March 27 and on June 6, 2022. It brought this family – well-known for their successful Vieuxsaule breeding – to the brink of despair. But thankfully: their barns have been rebuilt again, their Holsteins are milking again, and… father Mario and son Jimmy Perreault can once again see light at the end of a dark tunnel.
