Polled Holsteins have been a part of the breed for many years, but have usually been considered something of a novelty. While all breeders can agree that not having to de-horn calves would be nice, very few have been prepared to give up much in the way of performance to get polled genetics. However, polled animals are now becoming main-stream, with a good example being a polled bull in Canada’s top-10 proven sires, Stantons Adagio-P.
