In 2008, a silky black senior calf entered the show ring at the BC Holstein Spring Show. On her way to a second place finish, she caught the eye of Dave Hamming of Hamming Holsteins. When that same heifer showed up at North Okanagan’s Spring Show a month later, Dave and brother Brian Hamming knew they couldn’t pass her up. Elmbridge Goldwyn Darling was purchased that day in partnership with Chris DeWitt. While she earned Reserve Junior Champion honours at the show, her story was just beginning.
