Since its founding in May, 1974, Semex has made a remarkable trip through the world of cattle breeding. What began quite humbly developed into a success story that now spans over 50 years and mirrors the worldwide progress made in the breeding industry. From a small team with six employees that exported a little over 209,000 doses of semen, Semex transformed itself into one of the leading cooperative organisations. Today the company exports genetics to over 80 countries and generates an annual turnover of more than 180 million USD, thanks to a global team of more than 1,800 employees and 110 distributors.
