Undoubtedly you read about it in HI’s July issue: at Siemers Holsteins in Wisconsin, no less than 390 cows have passed the milestone of 100,000kg milk (220,462lb). As such, Siemers is almost certainly the world record holder for high lifetime producers. But Siemers is more than that: at the same time the farm was recognized as a “Herd of Excellence 2017” and is the birth place of Siemers Pety, sire of the superior transmitter Modesty!
